Co-founded by Daniel and Lana Hudon, the West End Gallery was established in Edmonton in 1975. The West End Gallery a family operated second-generation business with second-generation clientele. Dan and Lana have worked alongside their son, Matthew Hudon, since 2005. The West End gallery has striven to showcase the works of leading Canadian artists, including painters and glass artists. In 1994, the Hudon’s opened a second location in heart of down town Victoria, on the corner of Broad and View. Although most of the artists’ works are represented in both galleries, the expansion has allowed West End Gallery to cater to the specific art needs of its clients in both western provinces.
The West End Gallery’s legacy continues to this day, having built the careers of many of the artists who still line their walls. The gallery has an impressive stable of renowned, contemporary Canadian artists - many internationally recognized and considered important additions to any serious collector’s acquisitions. Their artists range from high realism to still life, figurative to landscape to abstract. West End Gallery plays host to an educated and discerning clientele, hosting two monthly solo exhibitions of artists for veterans and new-comers to the Canadian art scene.
